In continuation of a study on tiles, my group developed a prototype for a game called Shared Worlds. A tile is used as an image tracking mechanism, to spawn virtual content. A user would work with another user to position the physical tiles which have illustrations on them. After positioning the physical tiles together, each individual user would track the tiles with their own phone. They then would be allowed to tap what has spawned to choose from a kit of items on what is to be placed. After deciding on the virtual creation, the users can share each world they’ve created and have a discussion.
